No aero/TT bikes - normal road bikes

6 rider teams (first 4 across the line - but all must finish)

 

10.00 am Race Registration

11.00 am Race start

2.00 pm - 3.00 pm Race finishers

3.00 pm Prize giving- Beverley Town Hall

Modern bikes expected, Heroic bikes welcome.

 

Beautiful roads heading East from Beverley, a turn around. Wide road and quiet. The clock is ticking and the Main street finish will be buzzing.

  • Cost $40 per rider plus transaction fees for Cycling Australia members and temporary members

  • $5 timing chip if required

  • Nomination closes midnight Tuesday 13th October or when sold out - capped at 200 riders 

  • keep your email entry confirmation and present on the day.

THIS IS A RACE ON A SIGN POSTED ROUTE WITH ONLY A SWEEP BUS, NO SPARES VEHICLES OR FOLLOW CARS ALLOWED.

You are responsible for your own safety, equipment, speed & course on the variety of terrain on your ride

  • Follow the road rules

  • ride with courtesy & care.

  • Helmets are law.

  • in case of emergency call 000 ambulance, police, fire.

  • if you have an accident call Race Director 

The Rover Road Race of 1897 was the brainchild of Percy Armstrong, noted rider and entrepreneurial owner of the Rover Cycling Agency. The gruelling event of 116 miles over rough turn of the century roads proved popular and was later re-named The Beverley to Perth Race - or simply the “Beverley”.
